Technical Deep-Dive: The 400V 2500W Spec
We built this 400V 2500W shortwave halogen heater lamp for the tight squeezes and big heat needs of industrial machines. That 400V rating? It’s intentional. It cuts the current for the same wattage, so you can run longer cables with thinner wires and keep voltage drop in check. And the 2500W? It delivers serious power density—ramp up fast, hold temperature steady, even on the most demanding processes. The lamp length is designed to slip right into compact heating zones, so you can swap it into existing housings without overhauling the whole machine.
Material & Design: Halogen, Quartz, and R7s
Inside, you’ve got shortwave halogen elements sealed in a quartz envelope. Quartz handles rapid heating and cooling without blinking, even at extreme internal temps. The halogen cycle keeps the filament clean, which means consistent output over the life of the lamp. And the shortwave spectrum? It couples efficiently into many materials, giving you predictable, repeatable heating every time. We chose an R7s connector because it’s a standard, secure fit for linear halogen heaters. On the shop floor, that means a straightforward, drop-in replacement.
Application & Benefits: Engineered for the Plant Floor
These lamps are made for high-output work—plastic heating, sealing, drying—where you need focused infrared energy in a small footprint. The 400V design simplifies wiring and keeps losses low, while the 2500W output gives you the heat flux needed for quick cycles. Here’s the trade-off: that high power density needs proper thermal management. Make sure your reflector, airflow, and safety interlocks are set up to handle the heat and keep your team safe.
