Let’s talk about 220V 1500W Quartz Halogen Elements
If you’re dealing with heavy thermal loads, you need something that hits hard and fast. That’s why we built these 1500W quartz halogen lamps. Here’s the cool part: they don’t waste time heating up the air around them. Instead, they send energy straight into your workpiece using infrared radiation. It’s direct. It’s efficient. The power side of things Running 1500W at 220V puts a lot of heat into a very small space. We did this on purpose. Why? Because we want you to have near-instant heat. When your cycle times are measured in seconds, you can’t afford to wait for a heater to “warm up.” But a word of caution: these things move fast. If you don’t have a decent PID controller in place, you’ll likely overshoot your target temperature before you even realize it. What’s actually happening inside the tube? Inside that high-purity quartz tube, there’s a tungsten filament. Now, usually, tungsten likes to evaporate and gunk up the walls of the tube, which kills the lamp. To stop that, we inject a bit of halogen gas. This gas basically pushes the tungsten back into the filament. It keeps the glass clear and makes the lamp last much longer. Plus, quartz is tough. It can handle the “thermal shock” of going from cold to screaming hot (and back again) without cracking. We also use standard industrial connectors, so you can just pop these into your existing oven banks without a headache. Where this actually works (and a few warnings) You’ll mostly see these in PET bottle blowing, plastic welding, or powder coating lines. They’re perfect for softening polymers without accidentally melting everything else around them. But look, there’s a catch. Putting this much power in a small tube creates intense, localized heat. If you don’t use a polished aluminum or gold reflector, you’re basically throwing away a huge chunk of your energy by letting it bleed out the back of the machine. And one last thing: check your wiring. Make sure it can actually handle a 1500W load, or you’ll deal with voltage drops at the terminals, and nobody wants that.
