At 460mm long and pushing 1200W on a 220V line, they hit that sweet spot. They’ve got enough punch to get the job done without making your electrical setup a nightmare. The secret sauce? It’s all in the tungsten filament and the halogen gas mix. Instead of the filament just burning away—which is what happens with your basic incandescent tubes—the halogen gas keeps things stable. It means the lamp lasts longer, even when you’re pushing it hard. Plus, since it’s shortwave infrared, the heat doesn’t just linger in the air. It dives straight into your material. You’ll see the surface temperature spike in seconds. It’s fast. Really fast. One heads-up, though. Quartz is tough against heat, but it’s picky about everything else. These tubes are fragile.
