We built these 650mm infrared lamps for one reason: to move a lot of heat, fast. When you’re running at 220V and 1000W, you get a punchy, concentrated heat that hits your target surface almost the second you flip the switch. No waiting around. Why the 1000W/650mm combo? Here’s the thing about heat. If you cram too much power into a tiny tube, you burn out the filament way too quickly. By spreading 1000W across 650mm, we keep things balanced. It means you get a steady, even glow across the whole length. You won’t deal with those annoying “hot spots” that usually happen with shorter, overpowered tubes. It just works. The secret sauce: Halogen and Quartz Inside that quartz envelope, there’s a halogen cycle happening. Basically, the gas grabs the tungsten from the walls and puts it back onto the filament. It keeps the filament thick and healthy, which means the lamp lasts longer. And we use quartz because it’s tough. You can cycle these things on and off—hot then cold—and the glass won’t just shatter from the shock. One quick tip: if you’re swapping these into an old machine, double-check your fit. A 650mm tube needs to sit just right. If it’s too tight or crooked, you’ll put stress on the ends, and that’s how you get breaks. Real-world use You’ll see these everywhere—PET blowing, paint curing, plastic welding. Anywhere you need that short-wave IR to actually sink into the material rather than just sitting on top. But a word of warning. 1000W in a small space getshot. Really hot. Make sure your cooling fans and vents are actually doing their job. If the heat gets trapped in the housing, you’re going to fry your wiring and kill the lamp’s lifespan. It’s a trade-off: you get an incredibly fast ramp-up, but you’ve got to keep the machine frame from soaking up too much of that heat.
