When you’re out on the road, you need a light that actually cuts through the dark without taking up half your bike’s frame. That’s where our halogen setup comes in. We use tungsten filaments tucked inside a halogen gas mix. Why? Because it stops the glass from turning black and smoky. It lets the bulb run hotter, which means you get a much brighter beam without the filament just giving up on you. The heat factor Most bikes run on a 12V DC system, and we’ve built these lamps to handle the weird voltage jumps you get from a charging circuit. But here’s the thing: halogen bulbs gethot. Really hot. If your headlight housing doesn’t breathe, all that heat stays trapped. Over time, that can actually warp your plastic reflectors or ruin the lens. Before you swap things out, just double-check that your assembly is built for the wattage you’re throwing at it. Built to last (mostly) We use high-purity quartz glass because it doesn’t crack when it goes from ice-cold to scorching in two seconds. Inside, there’s a clever little cycle happening where evaporated tungsten actually moves back onto the filament. It keeps your light steady so it doesn’t dim as the bulb ages. Plus, we keep the bases standard. You can just drop them in, and the light hits the mirror exactly where it’s supposed to. No fiddling required. Dealing with the shake Motorcycles are basically vibration machines. Between the road bumps and the engine humming, a flimsy filament will snap in no time. We’ve added precise supports to keep the coil steady, even when the ride gets rough. Now, look—halogens are great for seeing further down the road than some of those cheap LEDs. But the trade-off is that they don’t last forever and they pull more power. Just make sure your battery and stator can handle the load if you decide to go with a higher wattage bulb.
